Sister Repentia once AGAIN based on unpublished Blanche artwork.
Mini is based around Dark eldar wych anatomy but rest is scratcbuilt with ProCreate.
Finally sneek peek to my work desk, where these two Buddle-school armatures wait some layers of modelling putty to become miniatures for my Confrontation war band.
Wow, she is awesome! An excellent sense of motion, very fluid and natural. The mask over her face gives the model a creepy feel that is a bit at odds with the rest of her scantily clad self, which offers an interesting dichotomy. I am really impressed with the sword, by using the pommel from the DE, you were able to keep it to scale the likes of which I feel are rarely seen in GW models. Although it is a large blade, it is not overly thick or unreasonable. Excellent!
ReplyDeleteThanks! the sword was crafted from thin strips of plasticard.
DeleteHmm, it might be that I am little slow and too much aflutter but does that armature mean that we are going to see some full scale own sculpt again (like "Captain Gaga") ?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait updates...
Too cool! The motion, pathos and gothique combines perfectly. Truly amazing work
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteMore amazing work! After a day of (more amateur!) aculpting to log on and see that makes me go "awh!". Out of interest do you always use ProCreate? What are its advantages over Green Stuff and Magic Sculpt?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteProCreate is less sticky than GS + grey colour makes it easier to work with. Cured ProCreate is very similar with GS.
Haven't tried Magic Sculpt yet...
Wonderful sculpt. Creepy and blanchean in the extreme.
ReplyDeleteMy only suggestion would be to twist the right arm inwards toward her belly and let the whip curve around her. It mich give her even more sense of motion IMHO.
Great job as always Mikko!!
Excellent model again, though I always thought Repentiae have their hair shorn off.
ReplyDeleteI disagree about changing the whip arm, to me it's more the sword arm that looks out of synch with the model's motion.
There. Now I feel bad for nit-picking this great mini :[
I'm sure Blogger eats my replies.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely great. Love the face and wire dreads.
