Dwarf Ironbreaker body with Space Marine Scout arms. Simple & effective combo that produces surprisingly good looking Squat warrior. This guy will be followed by full tactical squad supported by heavy bolter and flamer...
Nice job! Very remeniscent of the unreleased 2nd edition squats: http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/images/5/5c/Unreleased_-_Squat_2nd_Edtn_Warrior.jpg
Thanks Jeff! Your work inspired me to start this project in the first place:) That, and the rekease of the new Ironbreakers. Funny how much those models look alike btw.;) @Stygian - I have a army concept for these guys also. Will be using them as Space Wolves... Think about it, I get to do attack bikes and dreadnoughts with Squat theme;)

ReplyDeleteI had this very same idea and was discussing it with a member of my gaming group.
ReplyDeleteI must admit I'm sorely tempted to put together a small band of Squats like this for some 2nd edition games.

Glad to serve as inspiration, sir!
DeleteI hope you keep the "hairy biker" aestethic for the vehicles... They´re still my favourite kind of stunties.
Some inspired kit bashing there.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I was waiting for someone to try this: Who would have thought that it would be one of the Spiky Rats? ;)
ReplyDeleteLooking great, Mikko! Looking forward to seeing the squad!
