Not Quite What I Was Looking For...

While searching bits for my next commission, I ended up putting together this roach back shooter with a bulky bolt pistol. I think I'll work on with this as my side projects while gathering inspiration for my next challenge. Still need to work with the GS, add funky hair, loin cloth and some stuff on the back...

@ Phiq - Those looks like ghoul arms.

  3. Hi buddy,

I like him. Nice when things just come together. What torso have you used?

Yesterday I was happy to to see all the Arco-Evisorators together and fighting....what a sight!

    1. Hi Peter!

I've used another zombie torso on this guy. It still needs a lot of GS work before I dare to share the proper back shot. Still not sure about the left hand if it is ok or not.

John sent me couple of shot of them Arcos rushing the corridors of some space hulk. Hope you had a splendid day gaming!

    1. I don't know... This kind of stuff comes out of my spine. Maybe that dark ambient had also something to do with the whim.

  5. Wow, I love this little guy! Although the bolt pistol is large, it is compact and fits nicely with his large hands. The hunched pose really conveys a dark and eerie energy.

I must say the use of Dark Eldar legs was a stroke of genius. It is a kit I feel people stray away from using unless making eldar models. I think you clearly show that they have a lot of potential for other things.

Where is his head from? I think it gives the model that extra depraved element I feel you were shooting for! He is possibly my favorite miniature I have seen you make!

    1. Thanks Eric!

Dark Eldar bits do have a lot of potential, in both making slim human male characters and curvy female characters. You might want to enlarge the feet to make the legs feel less like elven.

The head is once again from Empire Flagellant kit. It's one of my favourite kits as the heads of it are just great for making ugly characters. The kit's arms are maybe too muscular for my liking and there for I like to use Ghoul arms. Their spiky long fingernails give that extra viciousness for the hands, making the characters even more untrustworty.

    2. Yeah, I figured the head may have been from there. I admit I have stayed away from the kit due to the overly muscled arms that you speak of. I need to give the kit more of a chance! Thanks for the inspiration!
